Pharrell is King Midas of fashion: everything he touches becomes gold. After his successful collaboration with the adidas superstar model, the sports firm is back together with the music star to reinvent two of their most famous models: Stan Smith and Tennis Hu.Relaunched in 2014, the Stan Smith is now a powerful global symbol for adidas. And now with Pharrell, whose imagination and creativity enable a surprising interpretation of this iconic shoe, as well as new color palettes for his recent release Tennis Hu - is a legend in process of creation.Introduced this spring, Tennis Hu is Pharrell's first flagship model, combining the clean profile of a footwear for the court with the proportions of a running shoe.

Following on from its all-white adidas superstar 80s release, the brand has dropped another interpretation of its iconic Superstar series and this time, we’re heading to the dark side. Enter the Superstar Slip-On in ‘Bold Onix’ – a shade that meets somewhere in-between navy and dark grey. The shoe stays true to the classic elements that have made the Superstar such an iconic style – like the shell toe and and cupsole, but has incorporated two bold, stretchy straps across the instep and is constructed in a super-breathable knit upper. With a foam-padded insole and subtle branding on the tongue and outer, this understated sneaker is an instant classic

The adidas superstar bold returns once more and this time around the Superstar that stands tall is seen rocking the classic White and Black color scheme. For those of you who may not be too familiar, the women’s adidas Originals Superstar Bold is a modified version of the model that has the Superstar upper placed on top of a platform sole resulting in a brand new look and feel. This pair comes with a White leather upper accented by the Black hits on the heel, Three Stripes and tongue branding, as well as the use of Gold on the branding noted on the side panels and tongue. The aforementioned rubber platform sole comes in White to complete the classic look of the shoe.

Talk of a possible Stone Island x Adidas project surfaced this week when leaked images depicted what some took to be an upcoming adidas NMD featuring the Italian brand's compass logo. It's not happening though—the shoe in question actually first appeared online in July, with the complete Adidas product images showing no sign of Stone Island branding. Those images, shown here, look to be of a standard inline NMD release. What's more, the crosshair-looking icons that appear sparsely on the shoe's upper aren't even that close to Stone Island's logo.Stone Island has worked with Adidas before, releasing a Samba in 2009. The brand has also created sneakers for New Balance and Nike, most recently working with the latter via ongoing collaborations that include footwear and apparel.
